Malaika is a visual artist and photographer. 

 

Born and raised in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates with an Indian heritage with influences of Congolese culture, her creative practice was always inspired by her experiences as a third culture kid. The fusion and embodiment of cultures is continuously explored in her work. 

 

Munshi has been internationally exhibiting since 2018, and aims to capture emotional freedom within her work, using expressionism through a contemporary lens. Her distinctive painting style of landscape sceneries creates this alternate world. Her photography aims to capture the raw unfiltered truth.
